Lab Testing Fees

Conventional Medical and Hormone Blood Tests

These are probably the most important tests and are almost always incomplete.  We strive to have as many of these tests as possible performed by your medical doctor so that OHIP covers the costs. Complete testing is essential and we will provide you with a list of appropriate tests to request from your doctor.  Any tests that he/she is unwilling to perform can be done through us.  The cost varies depending on the test(s) ordered, but is only the actual lab cost of the test.  Please ask for a copy of and bring with you any blood work or ultrasounds that have been done related to fertility, or even just routine physical exam blood work. You are entitled to copies of these from your family doctor or the fertility clinic.

Food Allergy/Intolerance Blood Tests

95 IgG Food Panel – $259

190 IgG Food Panel – $469

 95 IgG & IgA Food Panel – $475

Adrenal Stress Profile

This test helps to assess adrenal gland health.  Adrenals provide androgens that help support the ovaries, stimulate folliculogenesis and supply building blocks to turn into estrogen.  Blood tests for DHEAs, testosterone, a.m. and p.m. cortisol can also help assess adrenal gland health.  $195

Pre and Post Challenge Urine Test for Heavy Metals

To determine stored heavy metals or heavy metal burden, requires two 24 hour urine collections, one taken without provocation (heavy metal chelator like DMPS or DMSA) and one take post provocation.  If there is a significant difference between the two, there is a significant amount of heavy metal burden in the body. $225

Comprehensive Thyroid Testing

Normal thyroid function is important for fertility and also for a healthy baby.  Complete thyroid testing includes TSH, free T3, free T4, anti-TPO and anti-thyroglobulin antibodies. $120

Vitamin D3

Vitamin D is involved in normal function of the ovaries.  Low levels of vitamin D have been associated with both PCOS and endometriosis. $45

Comprehensive Gluten Allergy/Celiac disease

IgG and IgA anti-gluten and anti-gliadin antibodies, tissue transglutaminase and endomysial antibodies. $200

MTHFR Mutation Testing

MTHFR mutation can lead to poor methylation, sluggish liver detoxification, birth defects and increased toxicity ($150).  In addition to measuring specifically for the MTHFR mutation, more comprehensive testing for genetic SNPs can be done ($199).

Advanced Infertility Blood Testing

Anti-phospholipid Antibodies – $199

Natural Killer (NK) Cell Activity Assay – $649

Th1/Th2 Cytokine Ratio – $410
